III. INTERNATIONAL FOLKDANCE FESTIVAL will be held between August 5-9, 2008 by YAREN Ajans in Mudanya -BURSA, in scope of I. International Turkey Mega Festival’08 which will be held between August 4-10, 2008.
In scope of I. International Turkey Mega Festival’08, there will be several concerts by several national and international artists, international folkdance festival and other various activities. Mega Festival will be announced by TV and press of 4 different countries and there will be approximately 250.000 guests in every day performances. There will be great light and firework animations in this great organization and it will open to public.

Nace hace 7 años como Proyecto Cultural de un prestigioso e importante establecimiento educativo. Al retirarse el Director General de este establecimiento se suspende el Proyecto Cultural y debido a la trayectoria y excelencia en presentaciones se siguen recibiendo invitaciones por lo cual se decide dejar el grupo como Independiente de cualquier institución y bajo la guianza de Dios, Nuestro Señor.
El nombre del Grupo se ha modificado en numerosas oportunidades, siendo las principales: Grupo Folklórico, Grupo de Proyección Folklórica, Grupo Juvenil de Danza, Folklore Danza y Tradición.
Finalmente durante el Homenaje realizado a Alicia Azurdia en el Centro Cultural Teatro Nacional “Miguel Ángel Asturias” hace un par de años y bajo la tutela y ayuda del Lic. Julio César del Valle se le denominó Grupo de Proyección Folklórica “Ralankil” significando este término “Noche Buena”, o como dice nuestro buen amigo Del Valle "Navidad Kekchí.
(Para nuestros compañeros de Grupos Folklóricos alrededor del mundo, Alicia Azurdia es una importante cantautora de Guatemala. Miguel Àngel Asturias, gran literato, Premio Nobel de Literatura, orgullo guatemalteco.)
Ahora se presenta una nueva generación de actores y actrices bajo el nombre de “Grupo de Proyección, Teatro y Danza Folklórica Ralankil”, siguiendo la tradición de conformarlo por jóvenes y señoritas entre las edades de 14 a 25 años.
Al momento hemos realizado múltiples presentaciones en diferentes lugares de Guatemala: Colegios, Institutos y Escuelas, Palacio Nacional de la Cultura, Parque Central, USAC, UMG, Desfiles del 15 de septiembre, Festival Manifestarte y GuateAmala, Amatitlán, Panajachel, Tecpán, Purulhá, Rabinal, Tapachula, Antigua Guatemala, Obras Sociales y Homenajes.
MISIÓN
Investigar, Estudiar, Rescatar, Documentar, Proyectar, Fomentar y Difundir las Costumbres y Tradiciones de Guatemala.
Llevar y poner en alto el nombre de Guatemala y su riqueza cultural.
SUEÑOS
Llevar nuestras tradiciones a países donde no las conozcan a través de una Gira Nacional y Centroamericana Presentación “in situ” de Sitios Arqueológicos Producir nuestro propio programa cultural Producir DVD’s turísticos y de contenido cultural Producir un periódico cultural
